Confirmation
Middle school ministry is offered for grades 7+ on Wednesdays during the 6:15pm worship, Saturdays at 5pm worship and on Sundays during the 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00am worship times during the school year.
Check-in Procedure
Please check in, via the iPads on the “Hello” wall.
- Once signed in, your student will receive a sticker to wear that has his/her name on it.
- Students will attend the service until after communion, after which they are dismissed for a message and small group time.
- The students are dismissed by their small group leaders upon completion of their lesson.
About
Hosanna’s middle school ministry is for students in 5th through 8th grade. Students are connected to Jesus in a way that is unique to their age and taught practical ways to apply Biblical teaching in their lives. Students start their time in a large group and then break into small groups to discuss the message with other students their same age.

About
Hosanna’s confirmation is a personal faith process that helps lead students to a life-long journey in their walk with God. Students in grades 7th-12th who would like to have a clearer understanding of their faith should begin the process of confirmation.
Confirmation is designed to be a time for families to work through the program together at their own rate. At the end of this journey students will publicly confirm their faith as a disciple of Jesus at a Confirmation worship service.
Your student is ready to begin confirmation if they:
- Believe and trust in Jesus
- Want to know more about what our church teaches
- Want to know more about what it looks like to be an adult disciple of Jesus
- Are prepared to share with Hosanna that they are a disciple of Jesus
What to Expect
Cost: There is a $35 fee for confirmation that covers the cost of supplies.
Registration: Confirmation registration is open for students 7th grade and up. To register, fill out the following form:
Confirmation Launch Meetings: Students and parents are required to attend a Confirmation Launch meeting to begin their journey. Launch meetings have already happened - if you missed those, please contact Heather at heatherdimmel@hosanna.church and set up a time to walk through the journey with her.
Confirmation Service: Confirmation services will take place in the Spring on Saturday, May 20th at 5pm or Sunday, May 21st at 11am. Please complete all confirmation materials and register for one of the services no later than April 20th. Register here.
Confirmation Journals
Confirmation Journals are a study guide to help students understand what we believe and why. The lessons are devotional in nature and include questions for reflection and response. There are 11 units containing 49 lessons total.

10 Service Hours
10 Service Hours will need to be completed before students can sign up for a confirmation worship service. After volunteering, fill out the "Service Hours Completion Form," and turn in to Heather Dimmel.

Regular attendance in a Small Group or Worship Note Completion
We expect every student registered in the confirmation journey to attend their HosannaStudents teaching and small group time on a regular basis. If students are in 9th grade and above we expect them to be active in Wednesday night senior high youth group. Students also can choose to stay in worship and complete Worship Notes. Writing a personal testimony of faith
A personal faith testimony is a typed statement that is at least 1 page long and can be:
- your spiritual life-story
- your statement of faith
- a map of your spiritual journey
- an opportunity to reveal your thoughts about Jesus

Hosanna’s high school ministry is for students in 9th through 12th grade. Students are connected to Jesus through practical Biblical teaching that is geared towards their life-stage. Each week students will gather for a large group message that also includes times for small group discussion. The evening ends with a time of fellowship and a fun event.

Services
Confirmation at Hosanna Highland meets on Sunday mornings from 9-9:45am, prior to the worship service during the school year and is offered for all students in grades 7 and up.
Check-in Procedure
- Please check in via the small group leader(s). Confirmation meets in the basement area.
- The students are dismissed by their small group leader upon completion of their lesson.
Small Group Time
Hosanna’s middle school ministry is for students in 5th through 8th grade. Students are connected to Jesus in a way that is unique to their age and taught practical ways to apply Biblical teaching in their lives. Students will meet every Sunday, except holidays, through May 14th, 2023.
