Freedom Life

"It is for freedom that Christ came to set you free."

Galatians 5:1

Why Freedom Life Exists

Many people feel trapped by past wounds, stuck in cycles of unhelpful patterns, and unsure of their true identity in Christ. Freedom Life exists because healing wasn’t meant to be done alone—God created us to walk together, uncovering His truth and stepping into the freedom He promises. Through one-on-one support, and Biblical guidance, God will help people break free from the past and embrace the life God intended.

What Freedom Life Offers

Freedom Life has been designed for disciples of Hosanna to connect with Jesus and experience the fullness of His promise: “I have come that you may have life and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)

Freedom Life offers a gentle and compassionate process between you and God, helping you break free from the past and empowering you to live as a free, fearless, and fruitful disciple. This journey takes place through one-on-one sessions, where you’ll receive support in applying God’s truth and healing.

Each session creates a safe space where you’ll encounter God’s truth, experience His healing, and be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2)—changing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Throughout these sessions, you will learn various ways of connecting with Jesus through guided prayer and specific Bible passages, which will help you overcome personal and spiritual struggles (Isaiah 61:1, Luke 4:18-19). The prayer sessions are confidential and non-counseling. They are designed as an intentional space to encounter Jesus, who alone will counsel, heal, and deliver.

Who is Freedom Life For?

Freedom Life is for individuals seeking healing and transformation—those struggling with unresolved trauma, broken relationship patterns, fear of failure, unforgiveness, perfectionism, spiritual warfare, shame cycles, or explosive anger.
It’s for those who want to fully receive their identity in Christ, live authentically in their relationship with God, themselves, and others, and find peace in the midst of trials. Through this journey, you’ll learn to embrace the unknown, make choices rooted in freedom, be with God just as you are, and walk in the fruits of the Spirit—at peace with your past, present, and future.

Freedom Life Primary Tools
Each prayer session will focus on the Steps to Freedom in Christ, using tailored tools like R.E.A.L. Prayer and Listening Prayer. These tools are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual, adapting session by session to support their personal journey to freedom.
Steps to Freedom in Christ
These guided prayer sessions help people overcome personal and spiritual conflicts. The steps are based on the Bible and are intended to help people restore intimacy with God.

  1. Counterfeit vs. Real: Renounce participation in cults, false religions, and New Age practices (Leviticus 20:6)
  2. Deception vs. Truth: Confess and repent to resolve deceptions from the world  (Psalm 32:2)
  3. Bitterness vs. Forgiveness: Forgive others (Ephesians 4:31 & 2 Corinthians 2:10-11)
  4. Rebellion vs. Submission: Face ways you have lived out of a rebellious heart (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
  5. Pride vs. Humility:  Making the choice to confess areas of pride and choose to serve Christ (James 4:6 & 1 Peter 5:1-10)
  6. Bondage vs. Freedom: Inquirer experiences God’s loving forgiveness when we have been in unhealthy and controlling fears (1 Corinthians 10:13)
  7. Curses vs. Blessings: Affirming one’s new identity and new family of righteousness in Christ (1 Peter 1:18)
R.E.A.L. Prayer
R.E.A.L. offers a four-step model for praying through painful memories, inviting Jesus to bring healing and truth. It is a confidential session where a trained Freedom Life Team member helps guide an individual through past memories that Jesus brings to mind.

R = Remember: Having God recall any memory or memories that He would like to heal

E = Explore: Exploring both the right and left – brain aspects of memory. The right brain being the body's senses, emotions, sensations and feelings of the memory / event. The left brain being the logical description of the memory / event.

A = Ask: Invite Jesus to heal the memory.

L = Listen: Take time to hear and see where Jesus reveals Himself. It could be through sound, words, scripture, imagery, smell, or helpful emotional experiences.
Listening Prayer (Immanuel Journaling)
Immanuel Journaling is a structured writing practice designed to help individuals connect personally with God, experiencing His presence as “Immanuel”—God with us. This reflective process encourages individuals to explore past life events by engaging their thoughts, emotions, sensations, and memories in a meaningful way.
This prayer time consists of:
  • Opening prayer to bring forward a memory of a time when you felt close to God.
  • Based upon that special “God moment,” you pray a prayer of appreciation (out-loud) of who the Lord is for you and your appreciation of His character. For example, “Lord, you are kind, good, faithful, etc.”
  • Connection directly with the Lord, sensing His presence. He is Immanuel… He’s never left you… He is present and with you. Notice where He is with you in the present. The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus.
  • Ask Jesus directly what He wants you to know, or what His good plans for healing are for you today.
  • Through Immanuel journaling, people can develop a deeper awareness of God’s voice, fostering healing, insight, and spiritual growth as they process their experiences in His presence.
Freedom Life Team
The Freedom Life Team is a group of trained facilitators dedicated to guiding individuals through a prayer process that fosters a deeper, more intimate connection with God. The one-on-one session(s) are led by trained facilitators who have experienced and received their own freedom.

In addition, they have been educated in specific topics and tools designed to support you through your freedom work. These prayer sessions are not counseling sessions; rather, they are intentional times of encountering Jesus, who alone counsels, heals, and delivers. The role of the Freedom Life Team is to facilitate this sacred space, helping individuals experience the transformative presence of God in a personal and meaningful way.
  • Freedom Life Director: Leads, mentors and holds accountable, recruits and trains future volunteers, facilitates one-on-one session(s).
  • Encourager: Conducts one-on-one freedom prayer session(s).
  • Prayer Partner: Partners with Encourager during one-on-one freedom prayer session(s) for intercessory prayer.
