Give

“As you excel in all things, may you excel in generosity.”    2 Corinthians 8:7

why we give

Hosanna has transitioned to a new giving platform called Subsplash that will make giving easier and more convenient while also reducing costs. Our desire is to be good stewards of our disciples generosity so that we can continue the mission of Connecting People to Jesus.

For the best experience, create a Subsplash Giving Account below – this will allow you establish recurring gifts, save payment methods, and manage your giving at any time. To create an account, simply start your gift below.  If you have any questions during this process, please reach out to the church office and we’d be happy to help.

If you currently have a recurring gift set up with our old system, Pushpay, you will need to cancel that gift after you've set up your new gift.

If you have an account set up with Pushpay, you can log into your account and cancel there.

Or, contact the church office and we can turn off your previous recurring gift for you. You can email us here: hosanna@hosanna.church or call 507-388-1766.

Charitable Giving

If you are age 70 ½ or older, have an IRA, and want to make contributions tax efficiently, you might want to consider a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). A QCD is a distribution from an IRA that is transferred directly from the IRA custodian to the charity. When you file your tax return, you can then exclude the amount of the QCD from your taxable income. For retirees who have accumulated significant savings in their tax-deferred accounts, the onset of Required Minimum Distributions at age 73 can have serious tax consequences. Please consult your tax professional or financial planner for advice.

Gifts of Stock

Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax effective way to make a gift to the church. Gifts of appreciated assets not only qualify for a charitable deduction but may also reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes. Any discussion of tax treatment is not intended and should not be considered as tax advice. Please consult your tax professional or financial planner for advice.

Grain Donations

There are significant tax benefits for a farmer to donate grain directly to Hosanna rather than selling the grain and then donating the cash. By donating grain, you avoid including the sale of the grain in your farm income. To ensure compliance with tax laws, farmers wishing to donate a commodity should contact their trusted advisors for legal and tax advice. Then, work with the elevator of choice to direct the proceeds from the sale of grain to Hosanna. Alert Hosanna so that we can watch for the check and let you know when it arrives.

How does it work? You purchase gift cards at face value. Hosanna automatically receives  a rebate on the purchase. The rebate is paid out from the card issuer, so no extra money comes out of your pocket.
